WOMEN IN REENTRY DAY 2018!

Women In Reentry Day / People's Paper Co-op / Mama's Day Bail Out from Mark Aloysious Strandquist on Vimeo.

The People’s Paper Co-op (PPC) is a women led, women focused, women powered art and advocacy project at the Village of Arts and Humanities. The PPC works with women in reentry to focus on three goals:
Picture
1: Building A Dream Team of Phenomenal Women
Connecting Women in Reentry to an Incredible Group of Artists and Advocates

Throughout the internship, a variety of inspiring women come to the Village Community Storefront to work with interns through workshops, talks, film screenings, poetry and art sessions and much more. Do you know someone amazing who would like to work with our team? Email us HERE!
2: ART and ADVOCACY
We Make media campaigns that will destroy stereotypes
 about women in reentry
The PPC work together to use art to create public advocacy projects to destroy stereotypes about women in reentry, and advocate for the rights and futures of women across the city. You can see some of their amazing art below:

3: Community Justice Consulting
We connect women in our program with service providers and advocates to help expand, transform, and amplify their work

These include helping lawyers facilitate free criminal record expungement clinics, hosting exhibits and symposiums, and creating a resource guide for women in Philly’s halfway houses, and much more. Is your organization, campaign, or agency interested in working with Philly's top criminal justice experts? Find out more HERE.
